Fluoride Removal Project

Fluorine in drinking water leading to several ailment affecting children much more than the adults. In short, it is nothing less than poison in small doses which the people had to ingest knowingly or unknowingly as there was simply no other way! A program to remove fluoride from water was offered to the people in Kalyandurgam Village in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, which was inaugurated on October 2nd remembering the father of our nation, poojya Bapuji. The purpose was to see to it that around 2000 families shall have access to pure and healthy water which is their basic need and essential for healthy survival.

Several people worked hard to get everything in place within a timespan of 1 year.  While —– came forward to donate the land, Mr. Sivanna Karuba, the sarpanch of Kanaparthi village, who is also the president of Spoorthy

 

PFI club, put in his time and best efforts to set the dreams and desire of many people to reality. Once the process was set into action, the government came forward to support the maintenance of plant once the installation was done. With the efforts of local people and support from PFI members Sreedhar Gopishetty, Sandeep Yadiki and Aravind Garrepally, the local MP JC Diwakar Reddy and MLA Hanumantaraya Chowdary graced the occasion kick starting the first venture of partnership between people and PFI. All this was overseen and supported by Suraj Pabbathi and Eswaraiah Kapadam from USA, who devoted their time, efforts and helped in funding and other aspects being a constant support from overseas.

PFI, USA thanks each and every individual involved in getting this project done from the scratch to a project on paper to reality serving people even from the neighboring villages.
